Mejorar RAM?

Buenas tardes. Debido a la lentitud de mi portátil, en junio abrí un hilo para eliminar malware ,y en el proceso me detectasteis una mala configuración de hardware, ya que tengo un sistema de 64 bits pero mi ordenador portátil solo tiene 3GB de RAM. Así que no estoy aprovechando bien los recursos, porqué dijisteis que el sistema de 64bit ya utiliza 2GB de RAM dejándome solo 1 para trabajar.

Segun vuestros consejos, la mejor opción seria ampliar RAM y migrar el disco duro a SSD, porque yo tengo un HDD. Pero la verdad es que el ordenador me costó 350€ hace muchos años y yo no soy nada manitas. Así que creo que no me valdría la pena invertir mucho en él. Sabríais aconsejarme al respecto? Seria económico o caro? Fácil de hacer o debería llevarlo a algun profesional?

La segunda opción sería formatear y reinstalar windows10 de 32bits, para almenos dejar libre y poder utilizar mejor la poca RAM que tiene mi portátil. En ese caso, he visto que hay una version de Windows 10 que se llama LTSC 2019 que dicen que es la más ligera y funcional y que utilizan muchas empresas. Aunqué la licencia cuesta unos 50€. Lo recomendaríais? Si no recuerdo mal mi portátil venia con windows7 instalado y al cabo de poco de comprarlo se actualizó él solito a Windows 10 de forma gratuita, pero a la versión de 64bits, haciéndome desaprovechar los recursos de mi ordenador durante todos estos años, (aunqué quizá me dieron la opción de escoger y escogí mal sin saber…)

En el explorador de archivos de Windows , click derecho en “Mi equipo” … clic en propiedades … se le abre una ventana … ¿cuanta ram le indica que tiene instalada?

Indique el modelo exacto (no solo la serie) de su portátil para orientar en sus preguntas … un saludo

En el otro tema en el informe del IFS ya veíamos que tiene un Acer Aspire E5-551 … es decir es de la serie E5 -551 … dentro de esa serie existena varios modelos con algunas diferencias de hardware … por ejemplo el Acer Aspire E E5-551-T6AB de fabrica viene con 4gb de ram … en cambio el Laptop Acer E5-551-T08E de fabrica viene con 8 gb de ram. El modelo exacto suele venir impreso o en alguna pegatina en la parte posterior del equipo.

Sobre la memoria ram … aunque el IFS le indica que tiene 3gb (que ya sabia que no podía ser )… realmente usted tiene instalada 4gb … comentaba que el equipo lo compro de serie (no lo modifico), estos equipos tienen 2 ranuras para ram … y de fabrica solo vienen con una ram metida … como de fabrica solo viene con una ram metida … no podía ser de 3gb … no existen módulos de 3gb. En la foto que nos sube hemos verificado que realmente tiene 4gb. ok

En vez de contestarle de forma breve … si me lo permite … me gustaría valorar la situación …y de esta manera poder asesorar adecuadamente. Por ejemplo … si la lentitud es consecuencia de una temperatura inadecuada … aunque compre un SSD los problemas continuarían.

Comenta que nota lentitud en el equipo …

¿ en que momentos nota esa lentitud … quizá cuando se le exige al equipo ? … por ejemplo cuando juega o ve algún video … nos responde en su próxima respuesta.

Instale una versión del hard disk sentinel Download Hard Disk Sentinel … abre el programa y nos sube una imagen de dicho programa.

Instale el AIDA 64 Downloads | AIDA64 …una vez abierto … clic derecho en equipo … informe rápido … texto sin formato … nos copia el informe en su próxima respuesta (la parte debug del informe no hace falta que la ponga) … después realizaremos un test de estabilidad

Ya miramos tema malware y se solucionó un poquito, pero cuando más noto la lentitud es cuando le exijo al equipo: ejemplo, illustrator se queda parado, programas tardan bastante en empezar, 2 programas a la vez lo deja a veces sin responder, en el navegador (firefox) segun qué webs tambien ralentizan mucho, como facebook… Cuando veo un video y nada más, acostumbra a verse bien. Hasta 1080x720 o así normalmente no tengo problemas

Después de revisar su informe … veo alguna contradicción … vemos que el Aida 64 al igual que windows … aunque no indica el modelo exacto … indica que es un Acer Aspire E5-551 … el Aida 64, me indica que tiene instalada la versión de bios V1.08 … sin embargo en la web del fabricante … me aparece la versión V1.07 … y después me aparecen versiones mas modernas …PERO no la V1.08 … normalmente esto significa que usted tiene instalada una versión “beta” … pero quiero la certeza de que realmente es un Acer Aspire E5-551… pues no es la primera vez que windows o Aida64 identifica incorrectamente un modelo (quizá debido a la similitud con otro)…

Aunque en una de las fotos que sube indica el ID del producto… en la web del fabricante no me aparece este resultado. Por lo que me gustaría que lo verificase … como le comentaba en un mensaje anterior:

De todas formas vamos a realizar un test … para intentar descubrir el problema .Abre el Aida 64 … clic en herramientas … prueba de estabilidad del sistema … se abre una nueva ventana … pinche en la pestaña “Statistics” … pulse en “Start” para comenzar la prueba.

Esta prueba la realizaremos durante 5 minutos … para finalizar la prueba pulse “Stop”… Pero si observa que la temperara de la CPU supera la temperatura de 85º … en ese caso finalice la prueba inmediatamente pulsando “Stop”. NOTA ;quizá durante la prueba note cierta lentitud en el equipo … se queda pegado … tildado … esto se considera normal … pues durante la prueba se le esta exigiendo el máximo al equipo.

Una vez finalizada la prueba nos sube una imagen de dicha pestaña … un saludo

En el informe si vemos que le indica temperatura del procesador … sin embargo durante la prueba no nos aparece… en la ventana de la prueba de estabilidad … asigne un color a “CPU” … pulse en “ok” y repita la prueba siguiendo los mismo pasos.

Perfecto … de esta manera obliga al programa a que indique en el test la temperatura Cpu :+1:

No es necesario tanto tiempo … cinco minutos es suficiente.

Definitivamente … no vemos ningún problema de hardware su equipo … usted tiene instalado 4gb de ram … si cambia el disco por un SSD notara mas velocidad que si aumentara ram.

Por comentar algo … existe una versión mas reciente de bios … pero solo soluciona un posible problema con el brillo de la pantalla … por lo que si no tiene dicho problema, no la instale.

Disculpa las molestias, hace muchos años estaba un poco al dia de tema hardware, pero hoy en dia soy un completo novato, por eso agradecería mucho si me pudierais responder a estas preguntas: Sería fácil cambiar el disco por un SSD? Hay algun tutorial sobre como hacerlo o mejor lo llevo a la tienda de informática? costaría mucho dinero? notaría una buena mejora? valdria la pena en vez de invertir algo más de dinero para comprar un ordenador nuevo?

Le entiendo perfectamente …yo vengo de una época en el cual un disco duro de 40MB … 3.500r.p.m …memoria cache 32/64KB … se consideraba un disco de gama alta. El hardware es lo que mas rápido evoluciona.

En un portátil es una de las tareas mas fáciles

Si lo realiza usted … lo que cuesta el SSD … si desea llevarlo aun técnico … pida presupuesto a varios técnicos … lo que es reemplazar el disco lleva unos 15-20 minutos

Este es un modelo económico que tuvo que salir al mercado hace unos siete años … es usted el que tiene que valorar si necesita mayor potencia o si cumple medianamente con los requisitos de programas actuales … por mucho que meta un ssd … no es un portátil por ejemplo para jugar a juegos de ultima generación

Usted tiene uno de la serie E5-551 …dentro de esta serie hay dos variantes significativas a la hora de abrirlo … aunque usted comenta que tiene en concreto un E5-551-T6AB … por el modelo no me aparecen fotos de la parte trasera de ese modelo.

La pregunta seria: ¿en la parte trasera de su portátil … tiene una pequeña tapa que accede a las ram? … subo foto y le señalo en rojo dicha tapita

La diferencia es que los que tienen esa tapita hay que retirar la parte trasera del portátil … sino tiene esa tapita hay que retirar la parte de arriba del portátil (la parte que tiene el teclado).

EDITO Si necesita mas informacion … de como cambiar un disco … abra otra tema … `pues nos estamos desviando demasiado sobre el tema inicial de su consulta … que hacia referencia a su equivocación pensando que tenia instalada solo 3gb de ram
